This Log house is now at the finished Log Shell stage in our yard, we now clean the logs with a high pressure washer to remove all construction
Dust, Dirt & Oil's,we then we apply a Quantum Aquatec Pre Coat Stain to all logs to protect the surface during transport and re-assembly stage, this also is the first stage of treatment for the exterior stain.
The following photos will inform you of the process that is involved in the disassembly and re-erection of the Log Home to its permanent site.


Here is the Log Sub-Floor to accommodate two Bedrooms and a Bathroom


Prior to completing the Log Shell our Log Craftsmen built this 'Traditional Neck Down Scribe Fit Log Truss', with traditional Mortise & Tenon joinery, We managed to get a great scare tree for the King Post of the Truss


The Truss is now finished and will be pulled apart for transportation to be erected on site


We are now ready to start loading the truck


A few more rounds to go


When we have two rounds of Log work left we then scarf the log for the Power Points where the owner has requested them to be


almost finished loading in the Log Yard


We now install our Ant capping and Drip Edge for water runoff, one of the first thing to get done is the re-assembly of the Log Truss
while we still have a level area before assembling the Log Walls


Now we start re-assembling the Log Walls round by round

We are now up to the Header Logs 'ROUND 8 '


Now here comes Log Floor Joist for the upper story sub-floor


The end of a hard days work and we are ready for the Roof System Tomorrow


Here comes the Beautiful Log Truss for the Great Room


Now the rest of the Log Roof System is in Place with the Log Ridge and Purlins,
we have also included in this home 4 Log rafters for the Dormers to be constructed into the roof


Now the Log Ridge is in place for the Gable Dormer over the main bedroom
